President-elect Obama legal news update

The Legal Times reports that lawyers are awaiting President-elect Barack Obama and President George W. Bush’s final agreement on the rules that will dictate information-sharing and access during the transition. Earlier we’d suggested that former number two at DOJ, Eric Holder, might not be feeling a return to his old haunt. From The Legal Times:

The most-discussed candidate for the top spot is still Covington & Burling’s Eric Holder Jr., one of Obama’s top campaign advisers. But when Legal Times asked Holder in June whether he’d accept the job if offered, he said: “That ain’t gonna happen.” (It’s unclear whether he was referring to the overture or his response were an overture to be made.)
