Howard University School of Law is pleased to announce the Ninth Annual Wiley A. Branton/Howard Law Journal Symposium entitled Protest and Polarization: Law and Debate in America 2012, which will be held on November 1, 2012 from 8:30 am – 4:30 p.m. in the School’s Moot Court Room. This year’s Keynote Speaker will be Tomiko Brown-Nagin, Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and author of Courage to Dissent: Atlanta and the Long History of the Civil Rights Movement. The Symposium will also feature panels on wealth disparities, the state of protest and civil disobedience, and political polarization.
